Discover deeper spiritual clarity in a compassionate space. Whether you're a curious seeker or a lifelong believer, you'll have have a place to slow down, connect deeply with God, and uncover the unique path ahead.
Spiritual Direction, at its core, allows you to explore your connection with God, through active listening, meaningful questions, reflections, prayer, and being still. The world around us speaks loudly, Spiritual Direction is a place to learn to discern the still, small voice and presence of Emmanuel, God with us.
A Spiritual Director is a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential listener as you navigate your connection with God at your own pace. At times your Spiritual Director will ask meaningful questions, facilitate prayerful Scripture reading, pause for momentary silence, facilitate a visual exercise, give journal prompts, and homework when appropriate.
Spiritual Direction is not:
Counseling: We won’t talk about tools to navigate your interpersonal relationships with people.
A substitute for health care: Physical and mental health will be taken seriously. After the consultation, Wendy has the right to request clients see physicians, or psychiatrist first to attain mental or physical stability. A second free consultation will be required before starting Spiritual Direction.
Job or Life Coaching: If you are discerning a life decision, check out the Clearness Committee option. Feel free to email me for a Life Coach recommendation.
A quick fix: You will not get advice or a fast fix.
Wendy Everts has been an apprentice of inner healing prayer and a variety of prayer ministry approaches since 1994 and received her Spiritual Direction Certificate in 2013 from Northpark Theological Seminary. Wendy has worked with congregation members, people outside the faith, and missionaries all over the world.
Wendy’s gifts are bent toward healing the barriers that keep us from connection with God and being watchful for God’s timing in that process.
